A Celebration of Craft, Community & Timeless Stories

Step into a world of color, craftsmanship, and connection at the 4th Annual Quiltopia Quilt Show, happening this Saturday at Alderwood Assisted Living in Central Point. What began as a heartfelt community gathering has grown into one of Southern Oregon’s most cherished showcases—where hundreds of handcrafted quilts transform the halls into a living gallery of artistry, tradition, and love.

Each quilt tells a story. Some are stitched from generations of heritage, others from moments of inspiration—but all reflect the creativity and dedication of the hands that made them. As you wander through Alderwood, you’ll experience not just the beauty of the quilts themselves, but the stories behind them—stories that connect us, inspire us, and remind us of the power of creating something meaningful.

This year’s event brings together quilt experts and guild members from across Southern Oregon, with 18 respected community leaders judging “Best of Show.” Including; Taneea Browning, Mayor of Central Point, Shannon McQueary, Development Manager for ACCESS, Barbara Johnson, Executive Director of Community Works, Rob Holmbeck, Manager of Jackson County EXPO, Mandi Powell, Board Director of Central Point Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Neil Osen, Providence Primary Care, Erica Cordova, Owner of Crackin & Stackin  and many more wonderful community leaders!

Guests can also enjoy special guest speakers, hands-on insights from quilting experts, and even bring their own quilt for a professional review—making this both an inspiring and interactive experience for all skill levels.

Quiltopia is more than a show—it’s a celebration. Guests will enjoy breakfast with mimosas, lunch offerings, wine tasting, raffle prizes, and awards, creating a warm, festive atmosphere throughout the day. With an expected attendance of over 300 guests, the energy will be vibrant, welcoming, and full of shared appreciation for this timeless art form.

Join us this Saturday at Alderwood Assisted Living, 131 Alder Street in Central Point, and experience the beauty, heart, and community spirit that make Quiltopia truly unforgettable.

A $5 entry fee supports local quilting guilds, ensuring this art—and the stories it carries—continue to thrive for generations to come.
